MISSIONAL LIFE MINISTER
Aaron Dawson
Aaron Dawson Aaron Dawson serves as the Missional Life Minister at Monterey, where he helps lead the church in living out its faith beyond the walls—engaging the city, building partnerships, and equipping people to participate in the work of God in everyday life. He has been on staff since 2003 and brings a deep love for both the church and the broader community.
Aaron’s work centers on connecting faith to real life. He leads and collaborates with local organizations, churches, and community partners to address complex needs in Lubbock—particularly in areas like foster care, adoption, and support for vulnerable families.
Aaron and his wife, Deanna, have four children, and their experiences with special needs and foster care have given them a deep compassion for families navigating complex challenges. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry from Lubbock Christian University and a Master of Divinity from Abilene Christian University. He enjoys being outdoors, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
A verse that continues to shape Aaron’s imagination is Isaiah 35:1–7, a vision of God bringing life, healing, and renewal to a dry and broken world.
