Cameran Simmons

Cameran Simmons serves as one of our Children’s Ministers at Monterey. She brings a deeply relational and grace-centered approach to ministry, shaped by her desire for every child to feel safe, seen, and known.

Before coming to Monterey, Cameran served as the Special Needs Ministry Director at The Well in Abilene, where she led and grew a ministry supporting children, teens, and adults with diverse needs across multiple environments. Through that work, she developed a heart for creating consistent, supportive spaces where kids can build trust, ask questions, and grow in their understanding of God.

Cameran is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and has a particular love for walking with kids as they begin to form their own faith through curiosity, wonder, and discovery. She values discipleship as a long, steady process and believes the most meaningful ministry happens through relationships with both kids and families. Cameran is deeply shaped by the grace she has experienced in her own life and seeks to extend that same grace to everyone she meets.

In her free time, Cameran enjoys spending time with people, going for walks in the sunshine, reading light mystery or thriller books, and hopes to visit Ireland one day!
