CHILDREN’S MINISTERS SEARCH

After decades of faithful service to the children and families of Monterey Church of Christ, Shauna Young and Christi Sanders will step away from their roles as Children’s Ministers in February 2026. Their ministry has left a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for their years of dedication.

To prepare for the next season, Monterey conducted five “Listening Sessions” with parents and volunteers in our Children’s Ministry. These conversations provided valuable insight into the strengths of the program and the hopes for its future.

With this foundation, a Search Committee has been formed to identify and invite candidates who are well-suited to serve as Monterey’s next Children’s Ministers. The committee is currently establishing a process to prayerfully and carefully guide this search.
