Ephesians ends with an encouragement to “stand firm in the power of the Lord.”  We need this encouragement because we are engaged in a spiritual struggle against a real enemy.  This enemy is not other people who have flesh and blood - rather, it is the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world who is interested in stealing, killing and destroying our lives. But the good news is that we engage in this struggle prepared and clothed in the character and heart of Jesus Christ.
